Why did you start a blog? I’ve always had a love for writing, and I started The Style Diplomat as an outlet to share my personal style. However, I noticed that many of the early bloggers and social influencers who became famous are now merely dressed by sponsors, creating dreary red carpet marketing that eliminates any sense of personal style or quirk. In a ‘be whoever you want’ world (at least that’s the concept media talk about these days), it’s surprising to see just how many people still want to dress like everyone else. So as I continued to write and make content, I wanted my blog to evolve into something more socially relevant and infused with socially conscious ideals into each and every post.

Why did you name your blog The Style Diplomat? I’m really interested in fashion and diplomacy, and I wanted to explore how these two worlds interact with each other.  It seemed like a natural fit to call it The Style Diplomat.

I want to start a blog - what are your top tips? Write about something you are passionate about. Design a blogging schedule that fits around your work/life and stick to it. Be yourself and be patient. Interact with other bloggers and importantly, have fun and don't go by the book!

What do you use to edit your photos? I use VSCO.

What kind of camera do you use? I'm using my iPhone as of the moment. I am planning to invest on a camera real soon. If you have suggestions on which camera to buy, leave me a message!

What is one beauty product you can’t live without? Moisturizer and facial wipes!

Where do you buy your clothes? I have an infinite love for Zara. I also buy essentials in Bershka, COS, local online shops and various independent labels from Singapore and Hong Kong.
