We’re smitten with this black ruffled denim skirt, as worn by Liz Dumdum, The Style Diplomat on her way out for lunch in the Saint Germain-des-Prés neighborhood of Paris I wish (!!!)

Aside from figuring out what exactly to wear during this awkward transition from summer to weird bipolar weather, I’ve fallen for a favorite print - polka dots. However, I would never call it Minnie Mouse fashion and I will not forgive you if you do.

Brief history lesson: According to Vogue, the Google of the fashion world, it stated that the 'polka', a Czech form of dance, derives from the Polish for "woman"; in Czech it translates to "little girl". It added that the cartoonish print is unabashedly feminine as Christian Dior used it in his New Look collection, and in what Vogue reported was a "direct, unblushing plan to make women extravagantly, romantically, eyelash-battingly female".

So excuse you, polka dots were never not cool.

Speaking of contemporary cool, I toughened up the ruffle skirt with my current favorite pair of sock-style high heel ankle boots — stretch fitted leg. pointed toe. stiletto heel — It would be an endless justification for this pair’s serious versatility. Also, I added hints of gold jewelry to complete the look.

I would say that this look is a marriage between sophisticated style and light-hearted edge.
Aaaand as a woman of foresight, I know I'll be procuring unwavering obsession over polka dots in the coming days.
