To be quite honest, I'm having a hard time to round up 2013 because a lot of really awesome things happened this year. As much as I would like to put into writing the best of the best this year, I can't help but be grateful for the worst because it helped me appreciate the best of the best. Nonetheless, this year has been good to me. I am in a very thankful mood for all the lessons it taught me. It's sad to leave 2013 because it allowed me to travel a lot and make such beautiful memories. I went into 2013 with the desire to make new lasting memories and I was blessed a thousand fold. Moreover, 2014 brings new and positive change and for sure, 2013 is the catalyst for that change. At this moment, I can only imagine that next year will bring even bigger and better opportunities as it will introduce me to new and exciting things like more firsts and more achievements. Also, the new year is a good time to start mapping things out for the next chapter of my life of being independent. Although fearful of what's in store ahead of me, I know that my family, my friends and most especially (without a doubt), God will be there for me whose providence I forever trust.
I have high hopes for this new year not only for myself but also for the people around me - just better vibes, better attitudes, better everything. I'm actually preparing myself for struggles, adventures and thoughts that will make 2014 the year I am hoping for. One thing's for sure though, I am 300% sure that I'm still a work in progress. I'm far from "there", but at least I'm on my way and I'm alright with that. I've set my mind that 2014 will be about chasing my dreams. Chasing them until I run out of breath then going to keep running again. More importantly, 2014 is a chance to put myself in a place where I am in competition with no one and just trying to be better than the person I was in 2013 because I believe that when you show the world your best face and your best self, you quite often get that back.
